HRG Production Technology
HRG Sensor Balancing
Final adjustment stage of the hemispherical resonator gyroscope, during which the resonator frequency split is minimized after sensor assembly.
Advantages
- No dedicated balancing equipment required
- Frequency split reduction to less than 0.001 Hz
- High repeatability and consistency of results
- Gyroscope performance prediction using specialized software
- Improved production yield

Process Description
Process Overview
After completion of sensor assembly, acoustic characteristics of the gyroscope are measured and the resonator frequency split is evaluated.
Based on measurement results, specialized MEDICON software calculates the required corrective actions to achieve the target HRG performance parameters.
As a result, high accuracy, long-term stability, and excellent repeatability of the finished navigation-grade sensor are achieved.
