Award order of public recognition “Golden Fund of the Volga Region, Ural and Siberia is given to the CEO of Medicon Bogdan Bodunov


March 24-25, 2010. Business Congress — Ural Interregional Congress of small and medium-sized business managers took place in Yekaterinburg at the International Trade Center. 

The congress was visited by over 450 businessmen, non-governmental organizations, representatives of influential municipal subdivisions from Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Omsk, Orenburg, Tyumen and Kirov regions as well as Bashkortostan, Udmurt, Komi Republics, Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous districts, the Perm territory.

The Business Congress was organized by the Regional Development Fund “Perspektiva” as well as Trade, Food and Service Ministry of Sverdlovsk Region. Project partners were Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, a number of Ministries and Institutions of 13 constituents of the Russian Federation, administrations of more than 40 town councils of the above mentioned regions, educational and scientific organizations, regional and local departments of political party “United Russia”, all-Russia social organization “Business Russia”, regional and local departments of entrepreneur organization “Support of Russia”, association of Presidential program graduates (Sverdlovsk Region), National Institute of Systematic Research of Entrepreneurship Problems (Moscow), International Conference Center “Onconference”, branch associations of entrepreneurs of Ural-Siberian region, “Ural-Siberian resort organization”, judicial group of companies “Intelligence-C”, Sverdlovsk Regional Economic College of Lawyers as well as bank URALSIB.

The Congress started with a plenary meeting “Effective functioning of small and medium-sized businesses – unconditional requirement for the development of the Ural, Siberia and Volga regions “. The meeting included diverse seminars, roundtable discussions on different themes regarding small and medium-sized businesses.

One of the roundtable discussions dealt with the theme: “Small and medium-sized businesses – foundation for innovational development”. The participants of the discussion talked about innovations in a small-sized business, the role of innovational system, intellectual property protection, potential investors for innovational projects as well as juridical issues regarding regulation of innovations. Time has come to “walk the talk” and start applying innovational technologies in the industries.

Summarizing the Congress results, reports at the plenary meeting, roundtable discussions and seminars as well as entrepreneurs’ proposals a resolution has been passed which will promote further profitable development of the business community of the Ural, Siberia and Volga regions and help to solve the tasks and problems these regions are facing.

A solemn ceremony awarding orders of public recognition “Golden Fund of the Volga Region, Ural and Siberia” took place in the evening on March, 24.

Prizewinning participants were honored with laureate diplomas, medals and awarding orders of public recognition “Golden Fund of the Volga Region, Ural and Siberia”. One of the orders was given to the CEO of Medicon Bogdan Bodunov.

Diverse educational seminars on themes set by forum participants took place on the second day of the Congress.

Managers of the entrepreneur forum are convinced that the Congress will become a good foundation for experience exchange, search for new challenging projects and possibilities as well as broadening of activity spectrum for entrepreneurs and managers of the Volga Region, Ural and Siberia.
